What We Do
LUXURY INTERIOR PLANT DESIGN
for Your Home & Business
Persephonē Design Studio is a luxury plant design practice that curates botanic interiors for private homes, businesses, healthcare, and hospitality settings.
We believe plants elevate your aesthetic, your mood, and your well-being. Our plant-centered interiors add sophistication, create harmony, relieve stress, & allow focus through a deeper connection to nature.
Grounded in the belief that planted spaces are not only beautiful, but also soothing and restorative, our work transforms static spaces into thoughtfully composed sanctuaries of quiet vitality that draw people in and uplift their mood.
Whether you’re seeking a subtle touch of foliage, a statement specimen, or an immersive botanical haven, each project is tailored to your tastes and the needs of the people who live, work, and heal within.
From design concept to purchasing, installation, & ongoing care, we take care of every detail.

Who We Are
Welcome! Our studio is led by Laura Harrigan, who grew up in the woods of Connecticut, hunting for salamanders, frogs, toads, and lady’s slippers. Her mom introduced her to nature’s tiny magical things — itty bitty spring peepers, explosive touch-me-not seeds (aka Jewel Weed), and bedazzling bleeding hearts. As a child, she was awe-struck and enchanted by all of nature’s beauty.
That enchantment has led to a lifetime of gardening, starting with ornamental gardens and container plantings, shifting to native landscapes and ecosystems, and expanding to planted interiors. Today you can find Laura maintaining and propagating her own collection of over 100 indoor tropical plants, working in her gardens outside, running, or attending women’s soccer games. (Let’s go Boston Legacy!)
Laura is a certified horticulturist with a BA in English and Fine Arts from Amherst College, and a graduate degree in Ecological Landscape Design. She also serves on the board of the Ecological Landscape Alliance. This foundation informs a horticulturally savvy approach to plant selection and care, and a thoughtful consideration to designing with shape, texture, color, scale and placement—ensuring that each interior landscape is beautifully curated and enduring.
Based in Massachusetts, Persephonē Design Studio serves clientele from Boston to Worcester.
