The plant palette in this living room is curated to coordinate with the color scheme of the fabrics and the vintage family heirlooms in the space. The bright orange stems of two ‘Mandarin’ spider plants harmonize with the bittersweet accents in the love seat and throw pillows, while the stems and burgundy leaves on Philodendron ‘Imperial Red’ echo the maroons in the room, including two cinnabar vases on the mantle that had belonged to the client’s mother. The color coordination creates a cohesive environment while also enhancing the nostalgic vibe, making the space more meaningful for the homeowners.
